Great Effort. Rivermen Come up Short

The Rivermen made their only trip out to Prospera Centre in Chilliwack for a match with the Chiefs on Friday night.  The Rivermen were coming off a hard working win the week prior over the Victoria Grizzlies when they visited the LEC.  Looking to maintain their hard work the Rivermen found themselves in some penalty trouble late in the first and allowed 2 power play goals both by Chief David Bondra.  Down 2-0 after 1 period of play the Langley squad came out with the same work ethic they had in the first and Austin Plevy would get the "Riv" on the board with his second in as many games.  The third period saw the Rivermen try to complete the come back.  They came close but it was not to be as Bondra completed the Hat Trick on an empty net goal and send the Chiefs to a 5-3 victory over the Rivermen.

The Langley Rivermen won't have too long to lick their wounds as they make the trip out to Port Alberni for a date with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs tomorrow @ 7pm.  You can catch all the action live just by clicking the Listen Live link @ langleyrivermen.com.  Mike Bordignon who is filling in for Brandon Astle will have the call beginning with the pre-game show at 6:50pm

As for now your up to date.  See you at the rink.
