Parents Weekend Comes to a End

The Langley Rivermen hosted their first ever parents weekend.  It was a nice chance for the Rivermen players to put together a great effort in front of their parents.  And they did just that winning 2 out of 3 games.  Each parent was treated like royalty and so they should be as they are the reason these boys have gotten to where they are today.  Thank you to all the parents that came out this weekend and we hope you all had a great time at the games.

This weekend also marked the first ever Silent Auction.  By all accounts this was a huge success.  All the proceeds from this auction will go towards paying for the education for our players.  A special thanks to all the sponsors who donated and all the fans that bid on items.

This weekend also marked the first skate with the Rivermen.  Each Sunday game throughout the season will feature a post game skate with Langley's team.  This is a great opportunity for the fans to get pictures and meet their favorite players as well as getting a few autographs from the future stars of tomorrow.  I loved the turn out for this today.  I also signed quite a few autographs.

This week should be another jammed pack week with a 4 games out of 5 day week of hockey.  Fans, don't miss out on a very special night on Wednesday when the Movember to remember will be honored during one of the intermissions as Associate Coach's Bobby Henderson and Jordan Emmerson will get a nice clean shave.  They better not touch my beard with those trimmers.  Make sure you get your tickets by visiting langleyrivermen.com or call the office at (604)882-8200.

As for now your up to date.  See you at the rink.
