Rivermen Put to BCHL Test

The Langley Rivermen faced their cross town rivals the Surrey Eagles last night in Pre-Season action at the South Surrey Arena.  This was Langley's first and only pre-season match against a BCHL team.  This was a great preview of what you can expect come opening night in the BCHL.  The Rivermen handled themselves very well.  There were obviously some wrinkles that you can be sure that the team will iron out come opening night.  The Rivermen were not without there chance's but found it very hard to get one by the net minder for the Eagles.  The Eagles did a great job of keeping Langley to the outside throughout this game.  The Rivermen tried to make a small push near the end of the game but it was to little too late and they drop the decision 2-1 to the Eagles.  If you missed the game I have posted the link to the Broadcast from last night. http://www.ustream.tv/channel/langley-rivermen-hockey

Tonight the Rivermen complete their exhibition schedule with a visit to the Bill Copeland Arena in Burnaby as the boys face the SFU Clan tonight @ 7pm.  Like I said before, the Clan has a very good hockey team and they will pose as great opponents for the Rivermen tonight.  You can catch all the action Live tonight online as Brandon Astle brings you all the action from the Bill Copeland Arena. http://www.ustream.tv/channel/langley-rivermen-hockey

Just a reminder that tomorrow the Langley Rivermen and Myself will be at BBQ on the Bypass in Langley.  We will also be making an appearance at Country Celebrations in Campbell Valley Park.  These events are geared toward families and we would love to see everyone out there.

For now you are all up to date.  See you at the rink.
